My Las Vegas Bucket List

Updated: Apr 27, 2022

I've been to Vegas a few times... 8 that I can remember. To me, that is nowhere close to enough. I can't get enough of the lights, the buzz, the shows, the gambling, the ambience is just amazing and it's where I want to be. That being said, I have done a lot of stuff, Check out my personal reviews of some of the shows, restaurants and more here. This is a bucket list to keep my butt in check, to make me actually plan doing these things. Here we go.

Absinthe at Caesar's Palace

A raunchy comedy show with adult-themed circus acts, I must say I'm intrigued.

Adventuredome Indoor Amusement Park at Circus Circus

With tons to do, I really want to try their roller coasters! Canyon Blaster & El Loco are the two coasters I want to ride, plus I'd love to check out the other "Premium Rides".

America's Got Talent Las Vegas Live at the Luxor

We used to TiVo AGT and were super into it. Not so much anymore, but I'm still interested in seeing so many different talented people under one roof.

Area 15

Free to enter, this mix of art, food, and shopping is the hottest new thing in Vegas!

Area 51 Day Tour from Las Vegas

Available on Viator.com, a day tour includes Area 51's History & points of interest.

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts

The Bellagio just exudes excellence, so any art gallery they are gracious enough to put in their Hotel & Casino is a place I would like to visit. At $18 a pop for entry tickets, I'd say it's got to be worth it.

Big Apple Coaster at New York New York Las Vegas

I think I've visited NYNYLV every time I've visited Vegas. I'm like 95% sure. I still, however, have not ridden the Big Apple Coaster and it is way past time!

Bliss Dance Statue

Located at The Park between NYNY & Monte Carlo, this 3,000 light, 40,000 foot statue brings together the "EDM" atmosphere.

Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan

I've read at least ten reviews raving about how gorgeous this bar is. I simply must go have a cocktail here!

Comedy Cellar

We had an amazing time at the Comedy Cellar in New York, so I definitely want to give the one in Vegas a try just to see which one is better ;)

Container Park

I haven't been to the downtown container park, and shops and even restaurants made from shipping containers?!? Not to mention, a giant preying mantis with fire effects? Yes, please!

Criss Angel Mindfreak at Planet Hollywood

I love magic. Although this show is definitely on my wish list, I'm 100% sure Babycakes is not interested in sitting through it.

Drag Brunch at Senor Frogs

We checked this out on Groupon for our last trip but decided on RuPaul's Drag Race Live instead. I think we made the right decision, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in yet another drag show. They're just so fun and engaging!

Eiffel Tower located at Paris Las Vegas

I've seen it every time. I want to see it every time. I want to take in the view on the observation deck (which frequently has a Groupon) AND I want to have one of those fancy romantic dinners they're famous for.

Extravaganza at Bally's

I know from a friend you can see this show fully clothed early in the evening, or topless late at night. I'd rather see the earlier show just to see the extravagant costuming.

Faaabulous! The Musical at Neonopolis

Let me introduce you to.., well, me! I love musicals. More than I love magic.

First Fridays Las Vegas

A locals thing, this art walk/festival takes place downtown on the first Friday of each month.

Ghost Tours Downtown

There are several different people/companies offering ghost tours, some of which have Groupons from time to time. I don't care which one, but I'd like to take one.

Gold Spike Lawn Games

Playing a lil tic tac toe or corn hole with fire pits seems like the perfect thing to do to unwind from a long Vegas trip.

Gondola Ride at the Venetian

To tell you the truth, the first 7 or so times I visited Vegas I didn't have any interest in the Gondolas. They were cool to look at, but I had no desire to sit in a mini-boat while someone sings and paddles my big hind-parts around a lagoon. Eh, I changed my mind, although I don't think my husband would have any interest, I would love to be serenaded while exploring "Venice" with my Babycakes.

Heart Attack Grill

Located downtown, this absolute spectacle of a restaurant has my full attention. I don't want to eat there... I just want to see it. I am amazed by some of the things I've read about it. Apparently, they make you wear hospital gowns to eat, punish you if you don't eat all your food, have some of the highest fat content foods in America - you know that's saying something, and they let people who weigh over 350 pounds eat FREE. Say what?!?!?! Tell me it didn't get your attention at least a little bit!

Helicopter Tour specifically of the strip at night

The shiny, glittery Las Vegas lights at night, of the entire strip... you had me at hello!

Hexx Chocolate and Confexxions

This fat girl loves chocolate. I don't really care to take a free tour, but I would like to stop in for coffee and chocolate or pastries.

ICEBAR

A cocktail served in a glass made of ice, with furniture and walls made of ice? I'm confused, about how my hot ass won't melt a bench, but I'm definitely intrigued.

Lago by Julian Serrano

Dinner on the patio at the Bellagio, overlooking the fountains... I bet it costs an arm and a leg and I'm still first in line.

Lake of Dreams at the Wynn

I'm fairly certain I've never seen this show, although I did so much the first week I went that I can't be sure. Either way, I'd like to check out this free show.

Las Vegas Zoo

Only 15 minutes from the Strip, the Las Vegas Zoo seems like a good outing to be had after a long weekend of gambling and cocktails.

Magic Mike Live - Las Vegas at the Sahara

I mean, do you really need me to expound on this one?

Marriage Can Be Murder at the Orleans Downtown

I tried to see one of these in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge but they were sold out. I'd love to see an interactive dinner show!

Mat Franco's Magic Reinvented Nightly at the LINQ

Dude was on AGT back when we were actually watching it, so it would be awesome to see someone we've rooted for in person.

Menopause the Musical

This isn't at the top of my list, and I definitely wouldn't want to make Babycakes have to sit through it, but I would like to see it someday. Maybe on another girl's trip.

Mob Museum

Located downtown, this was actually on my agenda for my last trip, but my BFF sprained her ankle and we decided to stick to the strip. Following the history of organized crime in the US, it's like the Sopranos... I'm interested!

Napoleon's Dueling Pianos

Face it, I've walked past this crowded bar literally more than 20 times and I've never gone in! I've gone to Crocodile Rocks in Myrtle Beach, SC for a short time and loved it. I want to check out more dueling pianos!

Neon Museum

Also located downtown, this historical museum features some of those gorgeous Neon Lights Vegas is famous for, past their prime.

O by Cirque de Soleil

A Cirque show at the Bellagio is an absolute must-do on my bucket list.

Piff the Magic Dragon Show at the Flamingo

We got to see "Piff" taking photos with people from his show while we were waiting in line to get into RuPaul's Drag Race. Dude is funny, ironic, and does magic. You know I love magic.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay

Featuring a rare golden crocodile, sharks, and 2000 different animals, this is one of many aquariums I wouldn't mind visiting.

Shelby American

High-performance parts and automobiles... yes please!

Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage

Let's be real, I want to see the dolphins. While white tigers are cool, working as a dolphin trainer, which is an option; or painting with the dolphins, which is also an option, just sounds too cool to pass up.

Sin City Smash

Although, I won't be upset if I miss this on my next trip, I have to say breaking things does sound like a really good time.

Spa Experience On The Strip

My last visit, we patroned a couple spas for some couples massages. I would LOVE to have just one little measly Spa Day at one of the many fancy spas on the strip.

Speakeasy

With several to choose from, I just want to go to any Speakeasy! We had planned to go on our last trip, but we ended up not making it. How cool is it to go in a secret entrance and drink gangster-themed cocktails?!

Tape Face at Harrah's

It's magic. You know I love this.

Tattoo'd America a pop-up in the LINQ Promenade

With 21 rooms and 5 activities, this ink'd spectacle has my curiosity.

V - The Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood

This show's been around a while, even though it wasn't always at my favorite hotel. I've always been interested in seeing what it has to offer.

Vegas - The Show! at the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops

Glitz, glamour, and dancing... yes, please!

Venetian Streetmosphere

At the Grand Canal Shops, this free show makes you feel like you're seeing real Italian street performers; I've read that their are classically trained singers among other performers.

Zac Bagans' The Haunted Museum

This downtown museum has over 30 rooms! Voted USA Today's Best Haunted Attraction in America, I can't wait to be a part of this fearful destination.

Zumanity

Cirque de Soleil's Sexiest Vegas Show, I hope it's still open because it's been on my bucket list for a long time!

I honestly think I'm going to have to make at least three more trips to fit everything in that I want to do. Here are a few other Vegas Guides to check out:
